Bollywood comedian Rajpal Yadav has spoken about the cheque bounce case involving him, saying the matter is more complex than it is commonly perceived.
In a recent interview on Shubhankar Mishra’s podcast, he addressed claims that he failed to repay dues despite a long-standing career in the film industry.
Yadav, known for his comedic roles in Bollywood films, noted that while he has largely been recognised for his on-screen performances, this year he has remained in the news primarily due to a legal case that also led to a brief jail stint.
He explained that the incident had impacted his public image and reiterated that the situation is not as straightforward as it is often portrayed.
The 55-year-old actor added that he has pushed back against the narrative suggesting intentional refusal to clear payments, stressing that there are deeper aspects to the dispute.
