The war launched against Iran on February 28 was aimed at weakening its military power, stopping nuclear development and reshaping regional influence.

On the military front, U.S. and Israeli strikes caused major damage to Iran’s missile systems, drone infrastructure and naval capabilities.

Iran’s conventional forces were significantly weakened, with key assets destroyed or disabled during the campaign.

However, core strategic goals remain incomplete.

Iran’s nuclear programme has not been eliminated, and assessments suggest it could still develop a nuclear weapon within a short timeframe.

Efforts to bring about regime change also failed, with Iran’s political system remaining intact after early wartime disruptions.

The conflict also disrupted global energy markets and created instability in key shipping routes such as the Strait of Hormuz.

More recently, both sides have moved toward a ceasefire framework and negotiations on a broader settlement.

Overall, while the campaign achieved significant military impact, it has not yet delivered a decisive strategic outcome.
