Olivia Rodrigo has debuted her new track Stupid Song during a live performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!.The appearance came just hours before the release of her third studio album, titled You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love.The singer performed during a second consecutive night on the late-night show while promoting the upcoming project.
The broadcast aired on Thursday night, June 11, ahead of the album’s official release on June 12.Rodrigo’s new album marks a fresh chapter in her career following the success of SOUR (2021) and GUTS (2023).The track Stupid Song serves as the lead single of the project.
It features an intense blend of guitar-driven and acoustic sounds. The song is reportedly inspired by Annie Ernaux’s novel Simple Passion.The performance highlighted Rodrigo’s shift toward a more experimental and emotionally raw sound.
