Punjab Food Authority has sealed the popular Lahore restaurant Tuscany Courtyard after an inspection found alleged use of harmful or substandard cooking oil.
According to officials, the action was taken during a routine check when the inspection team identified serious food safety violations, including concerns over hygiene standards and cooking practices that could pose risks to public health.
The authority said the restaurant was immediately shut down to prevent any further risk to customers, and further investigation is underway. Officials added that strict action will continue against outlets failing to meet food safety regulations across Lahore.
