Saudi Arabia has appointed Princess Maha Al Saud as the new chief executive of the Future Investment Initiative (FII) Institute, according to the organisation’s website.
The institute, which hosts an annual summit in Riyadh attracting global investors and business leaders, also organises international events aimed at promoting foreign investment.
Princess Maha, who trained as a doctor, has previously served as vice president of External Relations and Advancement at Alfaisal University in Riyadh and has represented Saudi Arabia at major global forums, including the G20.
The leadership change comes ahead of the institute’s upcoming conference in Rome and follows its recent event in Miami. The institute was established in 2019 with Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund as its founding partner.
