Rizwan, Babar Climb in Latest ICC Test Batting Rankings


Pakistan duo move up one spot each, while Noman Ali remains the country’s highest-ranked Test bowler.

Pakistan’s Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam have improved their positions in the latest ICC Test batting rankings, gaining one place each.

Rizwan moved up to 20th position, while Babar climbed to 21st. Middle-order batters Saud Shakeel and Salman Ali Agha maintained their rankings at 25th and 27th, respectively.

Test captain Shan Masood slipped one place to 44th with 558 rating points. Opener Imam-ul-Haq remained 52nd with 522 points.

Abdullah Shafique rose one position to 54th despite not playing a Test since the South Africa series in 2025. Young batter Abdullah Fazal dropped one place to 97th.

England’s Joe Root continues to lead the Test batting rankings, followed by teammate Harry Brook in second. Australia’s Travis Head remains third.

In the bowling rankings, Pakistan spinner Noman Ali held onto seventh place with 817 rating points, remaining the country’s highest-ranked Test bowler.

Fast bowlers Shaheen Shah Afridi and Mohammad Abbas each gained one spot, moving to 25th and 27th, respectively. Sajid Khan stayed at 31st, while Hasan Ali and Khurram Shahzad are ranked 38th and 46th.

Meanwhile, Asif Afridi and Salman Ali Agha slipped to 83rd and 90th in the bowling standings.

India’s Jasprit Bumrah remains the world’s top-ranked Test bowler. Australia’s Mitchell Starc is second, while Pat Cummins has climbed to third, overtaking New Zealand pacer Matt Henry.
