The Iranian Football Federation (FFIRI) has said it will meet FIFA in the coming days to seek assurances ahead of the upcoming World Cup, amid concerns over travel and diplomatic tensions.
According to officials, the federation is expected to raise issues related to the treatment of its delegation and request clear guarantees regarding participation and entry procedures for the tournament.
The move follows recent incidents in which members of the Iranian delegation faced difficulties while travelling for international football events, prompting concerns over fair treatment and security arrangements.
FFIRI officials said they are seeking written assurances from FIFA to ensure that the national team and accompanying staff can participate without facing political or administrative obstacles.
FIFA is expected to discuss the matter with Iranian representatives as part of ongoing preparations for the tournament involving multiple host nations.
