The left-handed opener produced a blistering 103 off just 51 deliveries, marking his third PSL century and drawing level with Babar Azam for the most centuries in the league’s history.
With this achievement, Fakhar joined an elite list of batters that includes Babar Azam, Usman Khan, Kamran Akmal, and Rilee Rossouw, all of whom have registered three centuries in the tournament.
Interestingly, Babar Azam also reached his third PSL hundred on Sunday against the same opposition, the Gladiators.
Fakhar’s knock helped Lahore Qalandars reach a commanding total of 197/6, while also bringing up a major personal milestone—becoming the first batter to score 1,000 PSL runs at Gaddafi Stadium, the franchise’s home ground.
The explosive opener further cemented his legacy with Lahore, extending his record as the highest run-scorer for a single team in PSL history. Since joining the Qalandars in 2017, he has accumulated over 3,200 runs for the side.
In the overall PSL run standings, Fakhar now sits second with 3,246 runs, behind only Babar Azam, who leads with 3,792 runs across his spells with Peshawar Zalmi, Karachi Kings, and Islamabad United.
