The Ministry of Religious Affairs reported that 5,250 government-sponsored pilgrims have reached Madinah so far through 21 flights.
Another 3,510 pilgrims are expected to depart today via 13 flights. Among these, four will leave from Islamabad, while Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Quetta will each have two departures. One additional flight is scheduled from Sialkot.
The Hajj operation is being carried out collectively by Pakistan International Airlines, Saudia, Airblue, and AirSial.
Meanwhile, pre-Hajj preparations—including training, documentation, and vaccinations—are ongoing at 10 camps nationwide.
Officials have also ensured round-the-clock deployment of staff at airports in both Pakistan and Saudi Arabia to assist pilgrims. The ministry confirmed that flight operations will continue smoothly until May 31.
Earlier, on April 19, PIA resumed its Hajj operations from Faisalabad International Airport after a four-year hiatus.
The inaugural flight carrying 150 pilgrims departed for Madinah and was seen off by Commissioner Musarrat Jabeen and MPA Ahmed Shahryar.
Under this operation, PIA plans to run 15 flights from Faisalabad to Madinah and nine to Jeddah.
The last Hajj flight in this phase is set to depart on May 19.
